Flexible lining systems
To ensure stoves and open fires are working safely, we can install Docherty Chimney Group Flexible Steel Lining Systems in accordance with NI Building Control. We carry products in stock, and can carry out private, contract or Insurance work. Alll flue we use is 904 grade steel and carries a 20 year warranty. It is suitable for use on multi fuel appliances and when installed, will carry a data plate in compliance with building control guidelines.
Twin Wall Flue Systems
We also use Docherty Chimney Group products where twin wall flue systems are concerned, which are used to provide chimneys for appliances where no flue was available. They can be taken through walls to the outside world, or up through ceilings and roofs. The flue we use is more expensive than that of plumbing counters, but it carries a 20 year warranty rather than the normal 10, and we prefer to use a more robust product for trouble free performance.
Eldfast Coating System
After chimney fires, it is often a problem where chimney liner have cracked during the fire. Another problem we come across is liners installed upside down or joints not seated correctly. In circumastances like this we can coat the flues using a special ceramic and resin mix which seals all the cracks and will bring the chimney back to a safe state to use.
